In the news lately, MSNBC.comm http://msnbc.msn.com/id/15096891/, an article about tardiness in a public school showed up. The article explained how the school, Manhattan School for Childrend in New York, dealed with kids arriving late to school. The school came up with the idea of punishing the parents instead of the child if they arrived late to school. Most parents agree with the the new rule because it will prevent further tardies because of embarrassment The school stated that the parent has the responsibility if a student arrives late or on time, making breakfast, getting the child dressed on time and getting them to school on time. For me this rule seems a little unfair under different circumstances. When a student who is driven by parents to school arrives late it can be either the parents or child's fault. A parent may have attempted at waking up their child early to get to school but he/she may have been lazy or stubborn. Most students can probably wake themselves up but in the end the parent is the one who has the keys to the car, so if the parent is not ready on time and in result the child arrives late to school then i think the child shouldnt be punished. |

Lately I've been trying to find a job. In the past weeks i have applied for many jobs. All Jobs ive applied for have resulted in rejection. Having been rejected for every job i applied for i decided to do research on how to get a a good interview. I read many books on the interview process but all were really bland and confusing. Yesterday while riding the metro i saw a friend of mine who used to work with me at my last job. I started talking to him about jobs and how he was doing in finding a job. I found out he had gotten a new job. He then gave me tips on how to land a job in the interview. The tips he gave me were pretty simple and strong: show the interviewer you have qualities that would be helpful for the company and that your qualities equal to the position you want. This tip he gave me was very helpful giving me hope at getting a job and nailing the interview.
